Club Christmas Dinner
This year we were back to normal for our annual Club Christmas Dinner with no restrictions due to Covid. We had over 40 members attend and enjoy a superb meal at our home venue the True Lovers Knot. We presented our annual award for the Club Member of the Year to Karen Senior. As usual we had a raffle to raise monies for the charity we support each year. This year we raised over £300 for Parkinson’s UK. A great time was had by all!
DocBike Charity Run
Once again we were invited to put on a display of bikes at the end of the DocBike Charity Run that raises funds for the DocBike and Air Ambulance. The finish was at held at Henstridge Airfield which is the home of the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance. There were two runs this year riding in from Bridport and Alderholt with over 360 bikes entering. We had a good selection of bikes at the finish which was greatly appreciated by the organisers.
Berwick St John Country Fayre
The Berwick St John Country Fayre returned after a long break to raise funds for the Stars Appeal at Salisbury Hospital. A nice sunny weekend in the lovely South Wiltshire countryside although a little fresh with the northerly wind coming up the valley. An enjoyable was had by all who attended.
Summer Run & BBQ
We were blessed with sunshine for our Summer Run & BBQ but luckily it wasn’t too hot compared with previous weekends. Unfortunately a lot of our members were on the Island to see the Manx GP which returned after a 3 year break due to Covid. We had a nice ride out to the Fox and Hounds at East Knowle. After which we returned for the BBQ with the usual eating, drinking and lots of laughter!
